Where is the 'Charlotte' sample site?
Hi,
We are currently trialing Geocortex (v 3.7.0).
I keep reading on this forum about the 'Charlotte sample site'. Can anyone tell me where this site(s) are please or how I get access to them?
It seems these should exist on the hard drive of the server where Geocortex is installed? I've searched our Geocortex server's hard drive and can find no reference to 'Charlotte' and there are no 'Charlotte' sites listed in our Geocortex sites folder, only the sites we have created ourselves.
Maybe this is something that is only available when the full version is purchased?
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
Still running 3.5 but 'normally' charlotte site gets installed by default (data etc comes from host services either on ArcGIS online or Geocortex Rest Endpoints (Some data is local however)) unless you've done a custom installation. That said, the install procedure has changed beyond 3.5 so perhaps things have changed a little since i last installed (i'm about to install a test version of 3.8 so will relay any info i uncover).
Can i actually suggest if your not too far down the line & can readily install the product to use 3.8 as I understand its a relatively significant release on the functional side.
I presume you know about the folder structure: ({Installation Directory}\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites\
Also recommend you have a read of the install guide if not done so already.
Regards
Brad

Hi Brad,
I re-ran the installer msi and this time a sample sites directory appeared.
({Installation Directory}\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sample Sites\
Not sure why but only the 'Sites' directory was there before even though the re-install process/options were the same.
Thanks for your help.
Steve
