I was trying to do the same thing today with the latest SilverlightViewer(1.10) and Essential (3.15.1) and still got the same problem you had. W hen printing use print template, the overview map stays at the inital extent set up in REST Manager, disregars where the print extent is. It should be printed exactly as on the actual overview map in print!

Is there a way in Print Template to configure the zoom extent of overview map?

    regards,

    Jack

The Overview Map in print templates will always display at the Initial Extent set in Rest Manager. Currently, there is no support for having it display at different scales depending on the scale that is chosen to print at.

We do have a feature request logged for this functionality, and you are both listed as stakeholders.

Has there been any progress on this issue?  We would to have the overview map reflect the extents of the printed region on the print template.

I see this thread has been going a while, but this is also something I'm interested in seeing.

+1, at minimum it would need to support the OverviewMapExtentScaleFactor for the viewer but ideally it would also be configurable in the print template

    Hi everyone,

Our apologies for the lack of communication on this!  I'm happy to say that we are looking at prioritizing this issue for a future release of GVH, following the 2.8 release.  The tracking number for this bug is new feature is GE-2589.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

    Thanks,
