HTML5 versus Silverlight

Looking at the HTML5 v1.1 it is clear that LG does not intend for HTML5 to just be the mobile solution, but desktop as well.  Can anyone give me an idea of when LG believes they will have similar capabilities in HTML5 as currently exists in Silverlight?  I'm trying to decide if I want to push my users onto to Silverlight, or if I should wait for HTML5 to be more mature...
