Query and Extract Workflow

I have the Extract workflow functioning but I would like to be able to add the ability of the user to query or filter for a specific feature.  The reason for this is that it appears that everything that is in the Area of Interest for the specified layer is extracted by default.  So far, I've added a form so the user can specify the ID number to query for and have passed that string variable to a query task that should return the feature's geometry.  My question is, how do I pass the returned features on to the geoprocessing service that clips and zips?  FYI, I'm just building on to the Extract workflow that is available in ..\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sample Sites\Resources\Workflows\CharlotteOperational.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
