Reasons for an iPad not being able to maptip?
We're just looking at 1.2 and for some reason we now can't get Safari on the iPad to allow a maptip or identify.
It's drawing the points on the map, but not maptipping.
ie8 and chrome and using tablet.html map tips work.
Proxy is set up and should be working.
These same map services worked with 1.1.

Hello Peter,
On the iPad, are the features you're trying to maptip and identify visible (turned on and within the visible range)? Can you verify that the layer you're expecting is configured to allow both identifies and maptips in Essentials?

They're visible.
I'm now thinking it might be security related.
If I run a very similar site on our external machine it works. Our iPads here are going through VPNs. The funny thing is, it used to work on our Dev box internally.
I can't exactly get Fiddler running on an iPad to work out what's being blocked and it's working on IE and Chrome.
I might have to go through our local support.

Hi Peter,
It is possible to configure your iPad to send its web traffic to Fiddler - just enable remote connections on Fiddler and then configure the outgoing web proxy on your device to the fiddler network address (e.g. http://computername:8888)
You will only see attempted connections in Fiddler, mind you - anything blocked by the browser won't show up as a request.

Is there any update on this problem? we are experiencing the same issue on html5 viewer 2.7.2. 0 -
Hi Adrian,
I would recommend:
1) trying a new default viewer without any modifications done to is and
2) upgrading to a newer version. The current version of the viewer is 2.11.2.
