Group Layer issue
I have several map services that have groupings of layers. I have configured the map service in essentials manager to be turned off while having the group layers within the service toggled on. This allows a user to just click on the map service and have all the layers in the groupings to be displayed. However, I am seeing that if one of the layers is turned on/off from the HTML 5 viewer even without the map service being toggled on, all the layer are being displayed.

Hi Jared,
What you have described is a known issue for the 1.2 version of the HTML5 viewer. We are working on fixing this issue.

Along the same lines - I have a few group layers in my map service. One has two levels of groups (grandparent-parent-child). In the MXD the grandparent is off, and parent and child are on. When the map is launched all are turned on by default. Hoping the next version of the HTML5 viewer will fix this too. Thanks

Stephanie,
You should control the visibility in Manager - that overrides what is done in the MXD.

The visibility is the same as I mentioned above in Manager, too.

To elaborate - it works as expected in our Silverlight Viewer, but not in our HTML5 Viewer. Thanks.
