Global Search On Joined Table Not Working
Running Essential 3.14 and Silverlight 1.9. I have a parcel layer joined to an attribute table in the mxd. All the fields show up fine in the site and have global search enabled. If I search on the layer without the joined table I get results. Once I join a table I get no results. I have tried searching against the layer attributes and the table attributes with no luck. Is this not supported or just a bug?

Is "Include in Global Search" checked for the parcel layer on the Details tab?
Also, are your parcel layer and the joined table in an enterprise environment? If so, you'll probably get better performance by setting up a data link within GE between them instead of creating the join in the mxd. Then you can also create a Search Table on the data link that can be used in the global search bar.

I don't believe Global Search on joined tables was ever implemented.
Unfortunately for us, since our DB and GE are on different servers, between different firewalls, we are unable to create a data link.

I too cannot get global search to function on my rest services that utilize a join.

Our parcel layer with a joined tax table also does not work with the Global Search.
Please advise.

The global search on joined tables was an issue in the ESRI REST API for the "find" operation.
