Geocortex global security with reverse proxy

I am having trouble implementing Geocortex global security in a named instance (not default) that is configured for access through an Apache reverse proxy.  Securing a site on our default instance accessed not through a reverse proxy is working fine so I belive I must be missing some configuration setting.

When I secure the site with 'Global Security' and configure a user, role, and permissions - then view the site through the HTML5 viewer I get an error message "Failed to initialize site. The error was: Site with ID 'Fire_Inspections' was not found."  Fire_Inspections' is the correct ID for the site, and the site is in an instance named 'Public'.  When I view the site through a Silverlight viewer I get no error, the login dialog just recycles infinitely.

Is the security authentication not finding the site because it is not in the default instance?  I get no errors in the essentials log as far as I can tell.  I may be missing something though.

  Phoned support and Victoria noticed our "REST Application Settings" was missing the name of the instance 'Public' so it was not finding the site because the path was incorrect.
