GetCodedValueDomain Error

I am using the GetCodedValueDomain activity in a workflow to ultimitly populate a combobox in a DisplayForm Activity. I am getting a workflow error everyother time I run the workflow. "Unhandled exception:....JSON string invalid or not supported. Invalid JSON primitive:". Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? 

Geocortex Essentials 3.13 & Workflow Designer 2.17.0.98 

Silverlight 1.8

  We do not have a public url to test against. I believe the problem is similar to the the post found here  https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?pageid=0&mid=2&ItemID=20&thread=47467.

  is there a way to get around this for the get coded domain task other than using port 6080?
