Workflow Feature Layer

I  have a workflow that selects a feature layer.  When I click Edit Feature in the results the message is:  

 

This feature has geometry.

 

This feature has no editable fields.

However, the fields are editable?  They appear when a feature is selected using identify.  Am I missing something here?
