Essentials 3.15.1 Install Error ... HTTP Error 404.17

Hello all,

I have a new virtual server that I am installing Geocortex Essentials 3.15.1 on.    

It is a Windows Server 2012 Standard box using IIS 8.0.  I am running ArcGIS Server 10.2 which seems to be running fine.

The Essentials 3.15.1 installation seemed install correctly and I have gone through the post-installation process and added the SilverlightViewer 1.10.1 viewer.

When I try to start the Essentials Manager, I get the following error:

 

 

HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found

 

The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler.

Most likely causes:

The request matched a wildcard mime map. The request is mapped to the static file handler. If there were different pre-conditions, the request will map to a different handler.

Things you can try:

If you want to serve this content as a static file, add an explicit MIME map.

  Hi,

  Had the same problem, it seems like changing the Essentials Application pools, Managed PipeLine Mode from Integrated to Classic solved the problem.
