Different layer ordering between themes

Hello,

We have an Essentials site with 7 themes. Layers and Mapservices differ amongst them all however they are all variants of a theme. So there are a lot of layers and Mapservices common between the themes but ordered differently.

What happens now is we have our first theme with mapservices ordered in a certain way, each mapservice has a set of layers turned on, and it is sorted. The next theme must now use the same sorting for each Mapservice. Thus those layers in both themes end up sorted the same for each theme.

So is there a way with Essentials' themes within a single site to re-order the Mapservices and also the layers within them for each theme?

I am experiencing a similar issue with Geocortex4.7 and Viewer 2.8.

The layer rendering order (what's on top of what) is incomprehensible and impossible to edit.

I've looked, searched and compared all of the options and I cannot find a solution.

I noticed that while adding mapservices during Site creation, it addds them in the reverse order (newly added arrive on top of the list, then I drag & drop them at the bottom then Apply then Save site <sigh> )

If I cannot find a solution I will have the site.xml and see if there is a rendering-order number in there..
