Hi Jamal,
Are you able to provide a Fiddler trace of this error? It would be very helpful to see what gets sent to the server. Also have a look in your REST System log to see if there is anything mentioned there. You can email logs and Fiddler .saz files to (support@geocortex.com) and reference this thread.

The default location for the REST web application log is C:\Program Files\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\REST\App_Data\Logs

We get this error all the time, at least twice a week. In case you have the same issue as us -- Logon to your server and check to see if the Essentials App Pool is running. We get the error when it stops. If you start it, the map launches just fine.
- Logon to the server that has Essentials installed on it.
- Open IIS Manager.
- Expand your server name and click on Application Pools.
- Right-click on EssentialsAppPool and START it.That should do it.

I got a team viewer help from an expert and the issue was related to the machine name / IP address.
Sometimes the Geocortex is referenced by machine name and others by IP address. This issue must be set by a very end-user tool to avoid having this problem in the future.
