Layer Filter Security Question

Hello,

I would like to apply a layer filter security workflow and I have a question. I have watched this video http://support.geocortex.com/layer-filter-security but it explains only how to do an assignment to filter on a specific value, but how would I apply the filter to an entire field? Let's say if a user is in a certain group I don't want them to see the ZIP field at all. Can it be done in an Assign activity?

  Hi Igor,

  Layer filter security only allows you to filter rows from your geodatabase based on where clauses; it does not filter fields from the output.

  A workaround could be to have the same layer and workflow in your service twice and configure them separately (one with the ZIP field, one without), and then set security on the layers and workflows.
