Feature Layer Global Search

When I add a feature layer, I am unable to use the global search feature to query the data. Is there any way to make it work? Everything works fine when I use a map service.

  Click the layer properties in rest manager and check inlcude in global search.

  I am experiencing the same problem, has this been resolved or reported as a bug?  I am using GE 4.30 with Silverlight viewer v 2.4 and HTML viewer 5.2.4.

  Feature Layers with Global Search enabled does not return a search result in the Silverlight viewer.  It does return results in the HTML5 viewer.

  Map Service Layers with Global Search enabled returns search results in both viewers.
