Formatting for fields (GE-6620)
CompletedIt would be useful to be able to apply formatting to fields in the short description, long description, feature label, etc... For example, let's say I have a field in the layer that is meant to store currency data. I'd prefer to store this in a numeric field, but there is no way to format it for presentation to the user. I want them to see "$1,500.00", but can only show "1500.00" Thus, I have to use a text field. Dates are another data type that would benefit from formatting options. Generally, numeric data should have default options to include comma seperators and number of decimal places to show.

I would like to see if there is an option for this as well. Thanks 0 -

This would be useful for dates as well. Instead of getting "Oct 22 2015", I get this information overload in our viewer: "Thu Oct 22 2015 16:32:27 GMT +0200 (Western Europe (daylight savings time))"
(This applies to the display of information in table view. I haven't tried it in a long/short description field).0 -
This is in development and will be included in the upcoming release of Geocortex Essentials 4.5, and Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.6, targeting a beta release in late January 2016. 0
