"I want to" - add map layer workflow
I would like to create a workflow that I can add the to "I want to" menu that will bring in a service and add it to the map. Very similiar to the "Add Map Layer" functionality but to be for specific layers instead of searching through hundred of services. For instance we have many services available but users in certain applications don't want to search through all the services and just want a "Add Geology Service" button.
I've searched through the forums without any success (still wish there was a sort by date). Has any one come across this?
Thanks,

We added a directory Layers in ArcCatolog where we put our map services we want to share in GeoCortex SL. Then in the SL viewer under User Layer Addition add the search location for that path: http://www.yourserver.org/ArcGIS/rest/services/Layers. That way it will display the map service that you created under the Layers folder.

Hi Jimmy,
I am doing the same as you so I can restrict the user from seeing my \Development service folder by placing my services in a \Map folder (as seen in the image below)
The problem is that I am giving search access to other external AGSs so that the users have some options if they need to do some additional visual overlay analysis. What I would like is to create an "add map layer" option that has a pull down of the top 5 that people usually add, to make things a bit simpler. The only way I can see it is through workflow but I don't see an "Add Map Service" command. I do see a "Remove Map Service" which would make me think you could add one somehow.
