Intial Zoom In Funciton not working
Just a general bug i have noticed and the new version of the software might shore it up, but i have noticed that when i first open a map using silverlight, that you cannot zoom in and out of given map using your mouse wheel and or use the "zoom in" function in the toolset.
The obvious work around for this is just clicking the mouse once within the map extent and now those tools become available. My question is, is this just a general bug that we are expiriencing with the software and is most likely to fix itself in the newer verison of the software or is it a far deeper concern that might need to be addressed.
Thanks for any insight into this issue.
Current Software: Geocortex Essentials Manager 3.15.1

While I don't have a solution for you, I can comment that this is (was?) likely a browser issue and not something GE-specific. This post is over a year old... You didn't mention whether this was related to a specific browser or all browsers, but I experienced this issue with the Chrome browser and my Esri Flex viewers. There is a forum post on Esri's website that discussed this from a Flex viewer standpoint. It appears that at some point an update to Chrome changed the behavior of what gets "focus" when a like our viewers gets loaded. Previous behavior gave focus to the map window. An update took focus away from the map window, requiring one to click in the map window to get scroll wheel zoom to function again. We were only experiencing the issue with Chrome.
Whatever current version of Chrome I have installed has focus working "properly" again, so maybe this is no longer an issue for folks. But this may be an explanation as to "why".
