Legend seems to be an issue for us as well.

Also, I'd like to know if any pre set default .rpx files (print templates 8 1/2 x 11 or 11 x 17) are included anywhere for download?

"- Is there a way to control the symbol and font size in the legend box?"

    Yes, (from personal experience).

    Legend.rpx can be edited.

There are a few lines of parameters which govern the swatch size and text positioning.

If you have a play with the dimensions you can figure out which parameter relates to which element.

Anyone knows how to split the legend into two columns? Thanks.

Check out http://support.geocortex.com/geocortex-report-designer , there are two downloadable .rpx files for 'Resizable Legend Template' and 'Remove Unwanted Layers from the Printed Legend'.  These may help you get started with the code.

You should be able to find all the default PrintTemplate.rpx for 8.5x11 and 11x17 in ....Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\Sites\Resources\PrintTemplates

I am also trying to find a way to split the legend into two columns.  Is there a way to cheat and use two legend boxes in the report with the second legend box set to not display the first 4 or so legend items?

The link provided by Jessey is dead. Can anyone point to some decent documentation on how to control which items appear in a print template legend?
