Mobile Device requirements

What are the Mobile device requirements for Geocortex maps?   For example, I know that the ArcGIS Data Collector supports Android 4.0 and higher and iOS 7.   We are looking to purchase a tablet device that will support disconnected editing for a Geocortex web map.  I'm new to the tablet world and would appreciate any advice.  If you've had a good or bad experience with tablets or a mobile OS supporting Geocortex, please let me know.   Our staff prefer tablets over cell phones as they are easier to enter data in the field....fat fingers with cell phones can be frustrating.
