Security, permissions and sign in options
Hello,
I have a few questions that I'm not able to answer after reading the documentation and watching the 'New Product Features' videos and I hope one or more of you can help me.
1. When setting permissions on a site using Integrated Windows Authentication, I've added several roles/AD groups and granted appropriate permissions. Once I've saved my site, how or where do I go back to see what roles/users have permissions to sites? In 3.15, I could see them written into the site.xml and even in Manager, I could see them if I put my cursor in the box where the roles were added. This doesn't seem to be the case with 4.1.
2. Where and how do I configure the Sign In options screen. I watched the video "Sign-in and Sign-out Options", but it was very high level and did not go through the steps to set up the page. The video would be more helpful if it was expanded to include a demonstration of setting up various combinations of providers.
3. In the Admin guide, the documentation says that if multiple security providers are allowed, except Anonymous, and the Sign-Out page URL is left blank, then the list of providers will be displayed. However, I was not able to get that page; instead, the site just reloads. Does this mean that I have to disable Anonymous at the instance level, rather than the site level? We want to have some sites available publicly and anonymously.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I would love to have an answer to #1 as well. I've had 4.0 in development since it's release because of this (was hoping 4.1 would fix it). I'm liery to put it into production without being 100% I have the security settings correct for user/groups. I've looked in the site.xml and all I get is the user SID which doesn't help at all. I asked this question awhile back https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?thread=55201&mid=2&pageid=0&ItemID=2

1. That does sound annoying. When we get our security to function correctly with AD and GE IDS then I'm hoping it's not as hard to see at a glance what users belong to what groups.
2. This screen is a sub-tab option in the "permissions" tab of a site.
3. Not sure on this one. Could we get a very specific page/section from the doco?
