Identify with Selected Feature

 In my workflow, I have selected and highlighted a feature and have it as a FeatureSet (and as a graphic).  Is there a simple way to use this selected feature (or its Client.Geometry) to execute an identify operation in the map like I can with the click-and-drag operation?

Am i missing something obvious?

  I realized I need to use the Run External Command activity and the Identify Viewer Command.  The Command Reference in the Administrators guide says the Identify command takes one parameter for the geometry to run the identity with.  When I pass in the ESRI.Client.Geometry I've retrieved in my workflow, I get the following error:  

  There was a workflow error running activity: Cannot call method 'hasOwnProperty' of null

  I tried passing in the FeatureSet and it just churns and churns without throwing an error.

  Is there something else I need to do to execute an Identify operation in the map using a selected feature besides using the Run External Command activity?
