HTML 5 Viewer and ArcGIS 10.2.2 Feature Zoom Bug

    Hi Neil,

From my experience, I haven't experienced the issue of "whenever you click on a feature it takes you way out of the extent". For the zoom-to-feature function, it appears to mimic the pan-to-feature by default when there are no values input for the Feature Zoom Scale for the layer in the details tab. If you plug a number in there, you will see the zoom-to-feature function works okay.

    From the help:

Feature Zoom Scale: The scale to display the feature at when the user zooms to the feature. The scale is expressed as an integer, specifically, the scale's second term. For example, if you want the map to zoom to 1:20,000 when the user zooms to a feature on this layer, enter 20000 in the Feature Zoom Scale box.

I can't imagine that there would be any difference attributed to the AGS 10.2.2 vs AGS 10.1. You are mainly experiencing the differences between silverlight and html5, of which, there are many.

    Hope this helps :-)

    Hey Neil,

We had the same issue.  We were using HTML5 2.0 and when we went from ArcGIS 10.1 to 10.2.2 it broke something and seemed to make one of the map coordinates ridiculously huge.  It was only when we used the Identify tool and it only seemed to be for Map Services (Features services worked fine). Search results from the Global Search also worked fine.  You can set the "returngeometry" to false for the Identify module and then you can't zoom out of the extent.  The other option was to embed a command in the feature description to show the details of feature you clicked on using Maptips, so you don't need to use the Identify tool.  We recently upgraded to HTML5 2.2 and the issue went away, though.
