    Hi Mike,

There is no way to recover the password for an account that has been removed. That's okay though. There are two ways to fix this:

    Recrete the users

    1. Recreate the users with passwords of your choosing
    2. Open IIS Manager
    3. Find the existing EssentialsAppPool4 and EssentialsAdministrationAppPool4 application pools
    4. Open the "Advanced Settings"
    5. Click on the "Identity" setting
    6. Select "Custom account" and supply the username and password
    7. Re-run the Essentials Post Installer

    Use the Applcation Pool Identity

    1. Open IIS Manager
    2. Find the existing EssentialsAppPool4 and EssentialsAdministrationAppPool4 application pools
    3. Open the "Advanced Settings"
    4. Click on the "Identity" setting
    5. Select the "Built-in account" called "ApplicationPoolIdentity"
    6. Re-run the Essentials Post Installer

What is the advatange of using local or custom accounts vs. accepting the "Built-in account" called "ApplicationPoolIdentity"?
