You could put it in a script tag at the top index.html. From there you can see which viewer is launched and fire events to Google.

Thank you very much!  I'll give that a shot.  Would there be an equivalent for the silverlight viewers?  I know wrong forum, but I figured I'd ask as long as I had someone on the hook.

For the Silverlight Viewer you would add it to the viewer.html (C:/inetpub/wwwroot/Silverlightviewer/)

In my Google Analytics, i am unable to retrieve any stats on secured Geocortex sites.  Has anyone been able to do this and if so, can you provide any information on the additional steps taken to do so?

    Thanks

Despite the fact that the tracking code was inserted in the  viewer.html (C:/inetpub/wwwroot/Silverlightviewer/), the status

of tracking in my google analytics still shows "Tracking Not Installed", what might be the issue here ?

    /customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000em22xEAA

    /customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000em1JNEAY

    Many thanks

    Hi Ahmad,

Is your viewer publicly accessible?  I was only able to set up Google Analytics tracking on our public viewers.  Google Analytics can't reach our internal servers.

Otherwise my only other suggestion is to try closing out and logging in again, or clearing your browser cache.

    Cheers,

    Stephanie

    Many thanks for help Stephanie,

My  viewer is accessible for public, and I tried to log out/in again  and clearing the  browser cache, but the issue still there !

Does the position " at the start or the end of the viewer.html" for the inserted google tracking code affectes the results?

    Best,

    Ahmad

Google tells you to put it right above the closing head tag, which you have done.  It seems to work for me as long as it is in between the head tags, along with the other scripts.

I am not sure what else to suggest, maybe try Google Analytics help too:  https://support.google.com/analytics/
