Get Selected Features Task

Anybody have an example workflow using the new GetSelectedFeatures task?

would think that example with the alerts could be posted pretty easily...

I want to be able to fire a report workflow from the results panel

  Thanks, but no.

  The Get Selected Features Activity is new to 4.1 --  " In Essentials 4.1 and the 2.2 viewer we introduced a Get Selected Features activity that allows you to fetch the FeatureSet(s) from any selection/result in the viewer."

  That video shows it in the 2nd example. I'd like to see under the hood of it. The help is fairly lacking.

  Can someone please explain what the variable types need to be for this new activity?

  I'd really like to use it.

  Error message says so.

  'Selected Feagtures'  should be 'List(Of Geocortex.Essentials.Client.EssentialsFeatgureSet)

  When you put mouse over on the 'Selected Features', you will find out what type the variable should be.

  FYI, I usually do this way.

  - Focus your mouse on the textbox 

  - Type 'c'

  - WorkflowDesigner shows 'Create variable' item unless you set 'Enable Intellisense' menu under 'Edit'

  - Choose it, and it will popup UI with the correct data Type for the variable.
