I guess you can't edit you post once it's submitted....

My issue, I have a report and when I select too many features, say over 20 and run the report I get this error after it churns for a while:

"The report operation could not complete successfully. Please contact your system administrator for assistance."

I think this is a Timeout error.

Does anyone knwo what this error means and if it is a timeout how to I increase that setting?

Hi Bert,   The Essentials REST log file will give you an idea of what might be the problem. You can find the log files in  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Default\REST Elements\REST\App_Data\Logs". You need to check the one called SYSTEM (there will be one file per day).   -Alejandro

    Alejandro,

I looked in the log file and while there were some entries none of them seemed to addres the error I'm getting.

Further evidence to indicate that my issue is not even written to the log file is, this morning 8/1, I ran the report and got the same error and nothing was written the the log file for today.

    thanks,

    Hi Bert,

Two things to check: Make sure that the user running the Essentials Application pool has write permissions in the log folder. The following KB article describes the required permissions for Essentials: http://support.geocortex.com/file-permissions-for-geocortex-essentials-rest-elements

Also, you can try to increase the log level: In Manager, open "Application Settings" and set the "System Log Level" to "Debug"
