Bearing tools?
@LG,
I've been reading a post summarising some of the conference questions here: https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?pageid=574&mid=1223&ItemID=31&thread=55736 and to be honest I'm a little dismayed by the response that only the HTML5 Viewer may get the Bearing added to the Measurement tool.
There has been a HEAP of requests for this feature in GVS,
https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?pageid=0&mid=2&ItemID=3&thread=47069
https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?pageid=0&mid=2&ItemID=3&thread=47130
https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?pageid=0&mid=2&ItemID=3&thread=46674
and yet, it still does not get a look in? We, along with a multitude of others it would seem have a pressing need to get a tool that can draw bearings on the map. Could you please reconsider adding this capability to GVS. Sure, GVH is growing in functionality and as a result seeing more deployments, but for those that plan to use the GVS for some time yet (as well as GVH)- a tool like this would be extremely valuable.
We're at the stage now where we are planning to get one written for us, as it would not seem that hard in theory (??), but would like some confirmation that it is still NOT on the radar for GVS before proceeding. I've sent the same request to our local distributor to push the case and we'll see where we end up... but it does not look promising.
You have an impressive product, no question about that, and more often than not these more popular items eventually make their way into mainstream releases, but as mentioned I'm not sure why this one is being overlooked.
any thoughts appreciated.
I think this is a case of 'don't shoot the messenger' here.... ; ) keep up the good work.
regards
GF

No drawing tools with bearings yet in any of the viewers it supposed to be coming in next release for HTML 5 viewer the measurement tools give you the bearings, angles and distance in a table in the HTML 5 viewer not that halepful since we can't use it to draw anything.
Not sure this will be added to Silverlight as I think from here on out Silverlight will be getting bug fixes only.0
