I had a list of similar problems with this new layers configuration. I think you're not doing anything wrong!

I too have been experiencing this problem. Both the Silverlight and HTML5 viewers do not seem to be respecting the "layer theme" visibility settings.

With the new version of Essentials, SL, and HTML5, we at KGIS are experiencing problems with many layers turning on when we change map/layer themes. If you look at the layer list on the left it has the proper layers are checked, still others are drawing.

I've been told by Support that this is a bug (GVS-5656) and a fix is coming soon!

    I hope this helps,

    Hello all,

We plan to release the fix for this issue, for both the HTML5 and Silverlight Viewers, in an upcoming maintenance release (version 2.3.1.)  It is anticipated that these Viewer releases will be available this week or next.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and look forward to making these releases available as soon as possible.

    Best wishes,

    Pandora

    Thanks Pandora,

Will the fix include the issue below?

GE 4.2: symbolization is not working,

    https://support.geocortex.com/SupportForums/Thread.aspx?thread=57320&mid=2&pageid=0&ItemID=2

Symbolization\labels are used to work fine before the 4.2.0. As the upgrade is made, they are not working any longer.
