Relationships as data fields in SubReport

Can a layer's Relationships be used as data for SubReports?  I've tried setting up the name of the Relationship to the SubReport's ReportName field (like is done with Data Links), but it errors out.  I've tried both the Reltationship name and display name, but neither works.
