Geocortex Enchancement Proxy - Possible Bug
Hi Everyone,
I am attempting to use the Geocortex Services Enhancement Proxy to get the extra functionality on localizing dates in our ArcGIS feature services. We have web tier authentication set up for the ArcGIS server. For the "Authentication Settings" form I have selected "Web Tier (configured credentials" and adding a username and password and then seleting "Act Like: Conneted Windwos User". For the proxy settings I am just selecting "Geocortex Services Enchancement Proxy" and then I'm pressing "Test Connection" but that fails.
If I tick the box which says "Forward Requests using Application Pool identity" then it works. Additionally If I select "No Proxy" in the Proxy Settings then press "Test Connection" it works.
I would think that it should fail in all three cases above if one of them fails since the web tier "Act Like:" field specifies "If the connected user is not a Windows user, the configured user or application identity will be used". I read that as if it can't find the windows user then it will use the configured user or application pool user which BOTH work in my other tests mentioned above.
Things to note: My machine is on a different domain to the machine hosting Geocortex. If the page is checking my desktop identity and not my web authenticated identity then the code could be just falling over at attempting to authenticate me with my desktop identity <-- would be a bug if this is the case. It could be something else but this screams bug to me in either case.
