HTML5 viewer 2.3 doesn't honor print to current extent as default

I've set my print template to use "Current Extent" as the default map scale. The HTML5 2.3 viewer still defaults to Current Scale. My map does include a cached map service as well as some dynamic map services. The Silverlight 2.3 viewer appears to honor the Current extent default. Anyone else having this issue?

  I am having the same problem.  Found no solution so far.  setting the default extent to anything but 'Current Extent' will work without a problem.  Why just 'Current Extent' not working?

  I'm using 2.4.1 and I'm a newbie with respect to print templates. That said, I just set up some print templates today and set the default to be the current extent. The viewer does not honor my default setting. Hoping this is fixed in 2.5 or the GE team can suggest where all of us are going wrong with our setup.
