Initial Launch Page
I know this topic might already been discussed long ago. Since I am fairly new to this product, I hope I can get help from the experts. Here is my problem; I copied the launch URL from the site viewer (http://testserver.ocwd.com/SilverlightViewer) for my coworker to test. When my coworker clicked on the site url, it took him to the splash screen where it has a dropdown list of site name. It says "World Cities", he did not see other site names. Can someone please tell me how to bypass this page or how to add the site I created to this dropdown list?
Any help is appreciated.

Linda,
If you include the viewer name, the site will launch, without the drop down list. On my site, for example:
http://gis2.tippecanoe.in.gov/PublicSL will launch the splash screen with with drop down.
http://gis2.tippecanoe.in.gov/PublicSL/Viewer.html?Viewer=Public will launch the site directly.
I am not using the site picker, so have never configured it. I believe the exxentials admin guide has a section on configuring the site list.

Hi Mark,
thanks for reply. I tried it on our site. It does not work.
DId you have to create a folder in your inetpub like this ( https://support.geocortex.com/specify-a-custom-url-for-your-essentials-site).
I cannot find the setting in the admin guide. I will take a look again.
Thanks

Linda,
I forgot to mention I have a shortened URL for my site. Instrustions to do this are in the Knowledge Base post here:
https://support.geocortex.com/how-to-shorten-the-launch-url-for-the-viewer-for-silverlight
All the folders you need should have been created by the installer.

Hi Linda
Download the pdf file below which includes step by step approach to creat your first application. You can use you 4.2.1 with 2.3.1 template instead the ones in the steps. Also, you can add services of your choice in the site.
Create the link
Create the site
Create the viewer

Do you still have the same issue?

Mark,
thank you for the link, I will try it with my test site to see if it will work.
Jamal,
I wish I have your PDF to help me setting up the site, and thank you for sharing it. I will follow the installation you suggest in the PDF when we are ready to install in the production server.
Thanks again & have a great holiday!!!!
Linda
