Performance-Returning records compromise,

In the ArcGIS Server, one has to set the “maximum number of records returned by the server” and thus two issues arises:

-If high number is set, then the performance will be down

 

-If small number is set, then this affects the concept of the information system itself as NOT ALL the requested values should be returned

How this issue is seen from the perspective of the Geocortex?
