How can we use related fields in a Chart?
I tried to set up a chart on a layer which had a relationship class in the mxd when the service was published. I am unable to use fields from the related table in the chart though.
I tried adding the relationship on the relationship tab of the map properties as well. The related table does show up on a tab in the identify box but the fields are still not available for charts.
This table that the layer is related to is also loaded as a standalone table in the service. I thought perhaps I could use a datalink to relate the layer to the table in the service but I don't see a way to that, as datalinks seem to only allow external data sources like SQL Server. Can you not have a datalink to a table within the service? Shouldn't be necessary given that the table is already related anyways.
Furthermore on charts: If I was to set up a datalink to a table with a one-to-many relationship, for example a point location was related to a table where there were many records of data for that location (let's say different dates of values), would I be able to use the Single Features chart for this, so that the chart can show up in the identify box, but plotting data as a line graph over time for the related records?
Thanks!

Hi Rob,
It looks like quite old question, but..
I am trying to do similar, creating charts from the related records. Did you figure it out?

Hello Hwa Saup,
We have a request filed for this, GE-6068, but it is marked as something that we are not planning to implement. If you would like to try to raise the visibility for the request, you can try posting it in the Ideas section (https://support.geocortex.com/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all&sub-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1) so that other users can vote for it as well. Charting does work with data link fields , so you may find that using a data connection and data link instead of a related table could be an option worth exloring.
Hope that helps,

Hi.
I've created an idea on this, because I couldn't find it in there.

If your data resides in a file-geodatabase you are unable to connect using a Data-connection, as far as I know.
