Instant Search - Zoom to results?

Very happy to have Instant Search doing good work for us.  Only remaining question is:  Is there a way to make it zoom to a result as default behavior?  In SV 2.3, there are 2 more clicks to get it to zoom to a desired result.  Click on result in results window, then click 'zoom to feature'.

  I've asked the same question and been told it will be available in future releases. No ETA unfortunately. This is something we are eagerly awaiting too!

  We have some workflow-based searches that zoom but I think most users will be using instant search and missing the zoom.

  Just a follow up, probably others have already found this feature.  But for Instant Search, globe icon next to the results will zoom you in to the feature.  Not a huge deal but it elimates a click.  This is in SLV 2.3, btw.

  Also, does anyone know if there is a way to the uncheck the 'map services' entry in the tiny drop-down next to the magnifying glass icon in the search window?  Having it unchecked really speeds up instant search performance, but by default both it and 'instant search provider' are checked.

  Yes this is possible! This feature - Instant search zooming to the result, is availble in both the Geocortex Silverlight viewer 2.5 as well as HTML5 viewer versions.

  Hi Ali,

   

  Im not sure how you get it to automatically happen but it still requires the user to manually click on the 'zoom to all' button for this to happen in 2.8.2 as far as I'm aware. Are you able to expand on how this happens as default behaviour?

  Hi Belinda, 

  Current versions of geocortex will zoom to a single feature when you click on the feature from the results panel. Users no longer have to click the 'zoom to feature' button. When instant search returns multiple results, currently the only way to zoom to all is to manually click the 'zoom to all' button like you said.
