Add Data Tools

Hi,

Just saw on the Silverlight forum the (http://blogs.esri.com/esri/supportcenter/2014/11/10/final-release-and-support-plan-for-the-arcgis-apis-viewers-for-flex-and-silverlight/) following announcement regarding support for Silverlight and Flex by Esri. With support for Silverlight ending in 2016 are there plans to add add data functionality to the HTML5 viewer? I have users that would like to add spreadsheets or shape files to the applications.
