Print template suddenly has 2 pages?

I have a print template I made in Report Designer, and I was messing with the scale bar. All the sudden I have a second blank page when I run the print on my map!  What's up with that and how do I get rid of it?

  Hi jpursell,

  I got the settings below from an export and I have no longer white pages.

  Thanks!  I changed those and it still gave me an extra blank page but because of your post I found in the properties of "settings" in the same list, and set the "max pages" to 1, it was at 0 before.  Thanks!!!

  Hi Jacqueline,

  You probably got a new page because one of the controls has overflowed the page dimensions and triggered a page break.

  You may be able to see this from the Preview tab in Report Designer.  The Preview will display a red line where an overflow is detected.  You can also do things manually by calculating the dimensions of various controls.  Note though that any calculated fields may not render properly in the Preview tab since their backing data isn't yet present.

  Setting the page limit to 1 will also work.

  no, the preview did not show me the extra page.  But I got it with that max page setting, seems weird tho.
