Print Template with ArcGIS Online Basemap
Hi,
I use ArcGIS online basemap (ESRI World Imagery) as the background aerial photo.
I tried to print to print template, the aerial disappered. Is that normal? Did I do something wrong? Or is there a setting I need to set?
Please help
thanks,
Linda

Hi Linda
We have experienced the same issues as this seems to be a bug with Geocortex with the latest release. The workaround we applied was "check" on all basemaps in Essentials Manager, regardless of whether you want them drawn on opening the viewer by default or not.
This means all your basemaps will draw when opening the viewer, turn off the ones you dont want to print and it should work OK. Not a very neat solution I know, but hopefully this bug will be fixed in the next release???

Chris,
I will give it a try to see if it works.
I also did find "How to fix the scale bar and scale on maps printed in Web Mercator"

Same problem here, but it only occurs at low map scales. From what I can see this has to do with image resolution. The default image resolution is 96DPI (screen resolution) when generating a PDF or JPEG during a print. I added three resolutions to the print templates (96,56,and 32). I set 96 as default. If the map scale is lower then 1;1000 then the background image disappears. By giving the user to option to set a lower resolution the background image can appear again. The image quality is less but so is the imagery coming from ESRI at these scales. This works for me. 0
