    Hi Mary,

There is a 'Connection Type' dropdown field at the top of the Add Connection page, if you set this to 'WMS (Web Map Service) it should work fine.  I tested it here and it worked for me.

    Hi Wayne,

As I said, I've selected WMS from list and put URL, but I got Connection failed response.

    Regards.

    Hi Mary,

I tried it with Essentials 4.1.5 and IE 11.0.96 and it worked.  It sounds like it has something to do with your specific setup so you may want to open up a support case to look into it further.  It could be a firewall or proxy issue, it's hard to say.

    I'm sorry I couldn't help any further.

    Hi Wayne,

I have install 4.1.5 on another machine on different network and it works fine. So now I underestand,  4.1.5 doesn't have any problem and there is something with proxy and firewall. Can you please give me more information how this new version manage proxy and what is different between this version and 3.15 ? Because in 3.15, I use WMSs without any problem but in this version I cannot use any WMS. Is there any config file should I change?

    Regards

    Hi Mary,

I recommend trying Fiddler to look for errors when adding the service.  If you are not familiar with Fiddler there is a KB article here about it -

    https://support.geocortex.com/use-fiddler-to-capture-web-traffic-between-a-web-browser-and-a-web-site

The other thing you can try is upgrading to version 4.2.2 of Essentials, there was an issue with certian WMS services that was resolved in 4.2.2.

If neither of those steps work I would suggest opening a support case for it by emailing support@latitudegeo.com.

    Hi Wayne,

It is finally resolved by setting proxy in rest manager config file. Thanks for your time.

    Regards.
