Created DNS Alias Layer Missing from Project Files
Hi All-
Need some help.
I created a DNS alias for my ArcGIS Server. I fixed all the necessary paths in all my sites and everything works just fine. But the project files I saved prior to the alias creation have missing layer groups.
The groups "Operational Layer" and "Base Maps" are missing from 'Map Layers', "Graphics Layers" is pressent. The services in these groups would most definately be effected by the creation of the alias.
The data from the Operational Layer and Base Map is displaying, which suggests to me that the requests are being passed correctly by the web adaptor.
I just can't control the layers through Map Layers in the viewer. I can't edit the project file (.gvsp) but it appears to be propietary format.
Any project files I create post alias creation work as expected. Any ideas on how I can get my pre project files working properly again? We have a ton of them.
Thanks
Tom

The GVSP file is just a ZIP file, you can change the extension to ZIP.
I know the viewer URL is hardcoded in \Manifest\SummaryInfo.json so probably you will have to change this URL there.
