Can URL Parameters be set to Open the Viewer and perform an attribute search?

I am trying to replicate an existing silverlight viewer functionality in HTML5 viewer (something like "http://giswebdev02/gcmaps/?Viewer=Precincts&attributesearch=Precincts,Precinct,111131"): Open the Viewer and perform an attribute search.  I am not sure if a reference exists in the HTML5 Administrator and Developer guide?  Does anybody have a suggestion?

  They show an example in this KBE, but I've never been able to get it to work with the GVH.
