WMS Service - Test Please
Hi,
Can someone see if they can add this WMS service to their connections in GE 4.2.2. I'm not seeing anything suspicious in Fiddler or Wireshark.
http://wms.agg.nrcan.gc.ca/wms2/wms2.aspx?request=GetCapabilities
Thanks,

Chase, tested but can't open it...

Cant open it either - and get a "Connection Refused" in QGIS. That might help point you in the right direction?

Thanks for testing.
When I add http://wms.agg.nrcan.gc.ca/wms2/wms2.aspx? to ArcGIS I can see all the data but the connection fails through GE. I'm not sure if our IT is blocking the GE user agent or not, which is sometimes our case here.

Simply searching for this service does not work because the capabilities of the service takes too long to download and parse. It takes me 20 seconds just to download the capabilities of this service.
I was able to open it when I added it as a service connection first. However, t his service is massive and there is a pretty serious performance hit in Manager. The capabilities document is >3MB and contains >10,000 layers .

Thanks Ryan,
That's where I was trying to add it. I just wanted to see how it would come into GE but I'm getting connection failed. I was interested how bringing in one layer from the service would be for performance vs bringing in the entire layer set of the service.
