Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Permanently deleted user

I am trying to recover my site; I set up the same environment on a test machine and copied the site folder and the viewer’s folders, and used the same names, but I get an error that says “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” when I open the site in the Essentials Manager, and the application can not start

What might be the issue here?

  Hi Hani,

  You may want to take a look in the REST Manager and REST logs for any messages to the error.

  • <EssentialsInstanceInstallPath>/REST Elements/REST/App_Data/Logs
  • <EssentialsInstanceInstallPath>/REST Elements/Manager/App_Data/Logs
