    Hi Jeff,

FYI, exporting to GoeTiff will be available in the HTML5 viewer in version 2.4, due to be released later this week.

With regards to the printing error, if it persists I would recommend opening a support case and include as much detail as possible (viewer log, manager log etc)

    Hello Halil and Srikanth,

Sorry for the delay replying to this thread!  I just did some tests with GVH 2.7.2, and Essentials 4.6.3, and was able to reproduce this issue.  I've filed it as GVH-13018, and added you both as stakeholders.

    Thank you for reporting it!

    Hello all,

After discussing this with the developer, this is a bug in Manager.  GeoTiff was not intended to be a supported type for printing, only for exporting.  GeoTiff makes sense for an image export where all you have is the map image (and this works) but it doesn't really make sense to georeference a print that contains borders, an overview map, and a legend. The print itself can't be georeferenced.

This issue will be resolved by removing the option to print to a GeoTiff file.  Note that you will still be able to export to a GeoTiff.

I hope this helps to clarify things!

    Thanks,

    Danny

Daniel, I would like to be able to export a print template to GeoTiff, borders and all.  Our Fire guys want to create and export complex maps that they can then import into Avenza.  They want the legend included.  In Avenza, if it is georeferenced then they can zoom in to a location, and this higher detail map will then open.

Furthermore, with print templates, you can specify a scale different than what the user is viewing.  You might want to include an area larger than you can view at the scale you want.  Exporting doesn't really work for what we need.  Either you need to allow for georeferencing with printing, or you need to give more control on exporting.  I could do without the lengend, but the scale control is essential.  Having the ability to see a preview, and then unlock, like you can do in printing.
