Now Available: Geocortex Essentials 4.3, Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.4, Geocortex Mobile App Framework 1.2 & Geocortex Viewer for Silverlight 2.4

Geocortex Essentials 4.3, alongside Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.4, Geocortex Mobile App Framework 1.2 and Geocortex Viewer for Silverlight 2.4 are now (http://support.geocortex.com/downloads) ready for you to download . This is a particularly special release for Latitude Geographics, as it comes after several months of development and is strengthened by the feedback of close to 200 customers who participated in our beta program in March.

 

While we’ve made some major upgrades to Geocortex Essentials (improved performance, enhanced Instant Search capabilities, added new Workflow activities and introduced support for KML layers), the big excitement of this release comes in the form of our most feature-rich Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 ever.

 

We’ve added over 20 significant new capabilities (and many more enhancements to pre-existing features) to Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.4, with a focus on improving user experiences across devices and in any environment. We’ve also helped make maps more accessible to end-users with disabilities by ensuring that all out-of-the-box tools and features are Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) 2.0 AA compliant. Also, our Pictometry® Extension for Geocortex Essentials is now automatically included when you upgrade to Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.4.

 

Our Geocortex Mobile App Framework 1.2 contains further improvements to its iOS and Windows versions, and we’ve added an Android edition. It’s important to note that Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.4 is required to properly run this version of Geocortex Mobile App Framework.

There are also numerous minor features, various bug fixes and user experience enhancements included as part of this release.
