Is there a way to keep the compact toolbar open all the time?

    For the CompactToolbarViewModel, there is a toolbarOpenByDefault property.

    In the Manager, this is the "Open Toolbar by Default" setting.

    With 2.4, as soon as user clicks on a button, the toolbar minimizes even though the "toolbarOpenByDefault" is set to True.

    I guess it really makes sense to hide the toolbar, as it was probably first and foremost made for handheld devices, where you want to make the most of the screen space. But I'd really like to be able to choose for PC and tablet wether to keep it open by default.

    Add me to the list to have it stay open forever on the PC. It is nice to have a minimal toolbar for certain web applications on the PC.

    Add me to the list as well.  We have a customer primarily uses laptops of various screen widths; and to conserve screen real estate, they'd like to use the compact toolbar if one of the open/close functionalities could be modified to include "remain open".

    I would also like to have the toolbar remain open. Seems weird that when you select the option to open toolbar by default, it does not remain open. Any workarounds?
