Set Layer Property : Dynamic Definition

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience updating the Dynamic Definition of a layer via a workflow.  I see the Set Layer Property activity, but it does not seem to have any affect on the HTML5 Viewer (2.3).

  Alex,

  I think you would use 'Set Layer Definition' (not Set Layer Prooerty) to update Dynaimic Definition of a layer.

  The layer definition actually controls the where clause.  I'm able to get the DynamicDefinition property from a "Get Layer Property" activity, but setting it through the workflow in my HTML5 Viewer doesn't change it.

  You are correct. You and I should agree which one each one refer.

  As the Workflow designer HELP Document for 'Set Layer Definition' activity says "You would use this activity if you need to apply a layer definition expression to filter the content of a layer in the user’s map. For example: only show census areas with a population greater than 100,000.", which is the "Definition Expressoion" (Where clause), not "Dynamic Definition" you can set through the Essential Manager - Site - Layer.

  'Dyamic Definition' which you can set using 'Essential Manager - Site - Map - Layer' is called in once when the Site and Viewer initially loaded, but never allow to overwrite through the API at all (based on the Product code) as far as I know.
