Display Map Tip from Workflow

Has anyone ever invoked a map tip from a workflow? I'm using HTML5 viewer 2.4 and I'd like a map tip to be displayed to show the feature details as a result of a search workflow.

In the admin and developer guide there are a number of references but I haven't had much luck implementing them successfully.

So far I've tried to use the collection name created from a SelectFeatures activity and supplied that to a 'ShowMapTips', 'ShowMapTipResults', and several others. THe most I've been able to achieve is an empty MapTip box showing "Loading..." .

Would someone be able to provide some pointers?

  In the new workflow designer v4.3.0.1271, there's a "ShowMapTips" for the RunExternalCommand.

  Have you by chance used that command in a workflow? I'm looking for a functional example to compare against.

  I use the RunExternalCommand "ShowMapTipResults" and the argument I pass is the collection name I used as the Result of a SelectFeatures activity.  Since, in my particular case, I have a SelectFeatures result that has only one feature in it, this works for me.

  Hi Sean,

  Any chance you could share that snippet of your workflow. I can't seem to get sequence of events you've proposed to work successfully. I get a new error indicating "Activity: h is undefined" (although I have nothing named 'h' in my workflow).

  Also, what viewer are you using?

  It looks like ShowMapTipResults is no longer an option.  I would also appreciate and example of how to use ShowMapTips to display a feture set.
