Print templates - getting them bigger than 8.5 x 11!!!
Hi Geocortex Forum
I am having a proble with print template settings. I created a bunch of different print template page sizes in the report designer in landscape. When the user selcts and prints them, the page height is restricted to 8.5 inches, no matter how high I made the template!??!?! therefore my 24 X 36 layout prints, just rolls over to 6 different pages (but is however 36 inches wide).
I tested this with the provided LA 11x17 template example, to see if it was a template issue or something else. Turns out, that this exmaple does in fact stay true to its dimensions. I have opened both the 11x17 I created and the LA example side by side to check settings and they seem identical. The only place I can see where I can set the dimensions of the page (rather than dragging the detail container), is in the behavior settings of the page, within the PRINT WIDTH field. There is no print height field?
Can somebody please help? Im more than willing to send over my .rpx files if needed.

Try making changes to the Printer Settings. To do this go to File menu and choose Report Settings. Then choose Printer Settings. Update the paper size and page orientation to what you want (Custom paper is at the bottom of the list).

Thanks for your reply mbolz
I have already set up my templates, and so when going into apply these settings, even after hitting ok, saving the file, they still reverted back to printer default?!?!? I look at the setting fro the LA exmaple template 11x17, and the printer defualt here is 11x17, so it works ok for that. I saved out this template, and attempted to customize the paper to 24x36. The 24 was retained but the height reverted back to 11!?!?!?!
I cannot see settings anywhere to choose default printer or anything, so I really dont know how to chnage this?

With the help from Malcolm from the support team I got to the bottom of this! The report designer looks to the printer default settings when generating the template when the user calls for it on the site, regardless of the actual page size. Our report deisgner lives out on a cloud server and did not have any printers installed. Therefore it would pirnt to defualt print size, which stayed at 8.5 x 11.
I installed Cute PDF writer on our cloud space (had firewalls, couldnt link to actual printer), and this worked for me!
